Regional Training

Regional training provides comprehensive training to all 42 stations in the region, ranging from road accident rescue and hazardous materials management, to competency maintenance programs.

We have numerous training facilities, including a world class confined space training facility, the first of it's kind in Queensland. The facility encompasses a range of simulated underground storm water pipes and a grain silo used for on-farm rescue training.

Community Safety Unit

Located in Toowoomba, the Community Safety Unit, provides promotional services, building survey advice and equipment to the stations within the region for educational purposes.

The unit manages a range of community safety projects for the region, and promotes the various activities of the QFES.

The Unit is currently involved in a regional awareness campaign involving all emergency services agencies and community groups in a combined "Triple 0 Show" held at fire stations randomly across the South West.
