Scope Reduction Initiative

From 1 January 2015 the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services Scope Reduction Initiative (SRI) commenced. The SRI has identified a number of types of building work where the QFES will provide a response before an application is made to the Assessment Manager.

The QFES is able, under Section 57 of the Planning Act 2016, to give a referral agency response on matters within its jurisdiction about a development before an application for the development is made to the Assessment Manager.
