The Queensland State Emergency Service is available to assist their communities 24/7 in times of emergency and disaster.

The State Government and Local Government provide valuable funding to enable the SES to undertake their growing number of functions across the State, but, as events become more frequent our volunteers need increasing levels of support.

Support from the community comes in different ways and, beyond the government funding there are opportunities for donations and partnerships that will directly support the volunteers and their work in their communities.

SES Groups are also supported directly by community through fundraising that our volunteers engage in. Fundraising, on behalf of SES Groups, is managed by SES Support Groups. For more information please head to the Support Group Framework page.

Non recurrent subsidy program

The State Emergency Service (SES) Non-Recurrent Subsidy Program assists local governments in providing high quality emergency and disaster management services by supporting the activities of the SES. Subsidies are provided for accommodation and motor vehicles.
